Heat Up Winter With Chiropractic Health Promotions

(Lucas County, Ohio)  2010 (it’s called twenty-ten, by the way) has started out pretty cold this side of the Rockies. Won’t get above freezing all week for many of the Midwestern states. Even Florida is below freezing in some parts.

But it is a New Year.  So, let’s heat it up!

Here are some chiropractic ads and other action steps you can take in your chiropractic office to heat things up:

1.      Personal Health and Fitness Plan. Make sure each patient has a Personal Health and Fitness Plan for 2010. Make sure they have a chiropractic treatment plan of course, but as well, talk to them about their fitness plan. This positions YOU and your office as their Health Doctor and Health Coach. You can even set up a consultation or progress exam and progress report. Get all your patients excited about making 2010 their healthiest year. Ask them to bring in their family and friends to get set up on a Chiropractic Health and Fitness Plan too.

2.       Workshop. Schedule a 2010 Health and Fitness Workshop for the end of the month. Invite a guest speaker such as physical trainer to assist. Promote in and out of the clinic.

3.       Healthy Start Coupon.  Put a “Healthy Start” coupon in your newsletter to improve active patient retention, reactivation of patients, and referrals. (sample)

4.       Newsletter Ad. Send an ad out with other professions, such as dentists, gyms, podiatrists, yoga centers, or churches. They often send out newsletters with ads. See if you can put your add in their newsletter for a small fee.

5.       Gift Cards for Care. To encourage referrals and patients reactivating, sponsor a Gift Card for Care. Each year gift cards are given as a convenient method for gift giving. Often, however, these gift cards lie about and go unused. Your office will be happy to redeem any unused gift card of $25 or more in exchange for new patient initial services. The gift cards will be donated the local charity you are supporting. (Thanks Dana for the idea!)
