\nAnd no reason not to do it, there was absolutely none.
\nBut in vital matters such as this, the thing you have to ask
\nIs who exactly will it be who’ll carry out the task?<\/p>\n
Anybody could have told you that everybody knew
\nThat this was something somebody would surely have to do.
\nNobody was unwilling; anybody had the ability.
\nBut nobody believed that it was their responsibility.<\/p>\n
It seemed to be a job that anybody could have done,
\nIf anybody thought he was supposed to be the one.
\nBut since everybody recognized that anybody could,
\nEverybody took for granted that somebody would.<\/p>\n
But nobody told anybody that we are aware of,
\nThat he would be in charge of seeing it was taken care of.
\nAnd nobody took it on himself to follow through,
\nAnd do what everybody thought that somebody would do.<\/p>\n
When what everybody needed so did not get done at all,
\nEverybody was complaining that somebody dropped the ball.
\nAnybody then could see it was an awful crying shame,
\nAnd everybody looked around for somebody to blame.<\/p>\n
Somebody should have done the job
\nAnd Everybody should have,
\nBut in the end Nobody did
\nWhat Anybody could have.

\nEverybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody were members of a group.
\nThere was an important job to do and Everybody was asked to do it.

\nSomebody got angry because it was Everybody\u2019s job.
\nEverybody thought Anybody would do it, but Nobody realized that Anybody wouldn\u2019t do it.
