Dr. J. Peter Heffernan

Dr. Peter Heffernan
Dr. Heffernan is a chiropractor’s chiropractor.  In practice since 1976, his accomplishments rival few other chiropractors in the world.  As a day in and day out practicing chiropractor, teacher, mentor, chiropractic leader, father and husband, Dr. Heffernan contributions to his community and profession are exceptional.  Below are a list of some of them.

We have had the privilege of working with Dr. Heffernan and his team since the mid 1980’s and count on him as being a big influence on our understanding of chiropractic. About us,  he says: “If you are ready to clone yourself and organize others to help you reach your goals, call Petty, Michel and Associates.”

As a Practicing Chiropractor Dr. Heffernan began in 1976 in a small town just outside of Milwaukee, WI.  The practice grew to 100 visits per day within one year and an associate was added to bring the office to 500 visits per week.

The practice became a Renaissance based practice in 1978 when new patients were accepted only after attending pre-care classes.  The practice began to start 100 new patients per month from direct referrals and quickly reached capacity.  The practice has sustained itself as a non-advertising, direct referral, family based, non-therapy, group practice for 35 years.

Currently the practice is called Heffernan Chiropractic Clinic.  According to Dr. Heffernan,”we have three full time chiropractors.  The practice integrates segmental specific chiropractic adjustments delivered using the X.Y,Z coordinate system.  Adjustments are integrated with rehabilitative spinal exercises, Theraball exercises, and yoga classes.”
